Pricing & Payment
What are your tutoring rates?
Rates range from $45–$80 per hour depending on the service, competitively priced below major competitors. Flexible packages are available, including 4-, 8-, and 12-hour monthly packages. Payment can be made via Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App.
Do you offer trial sessions?
Yes. A trial session is conducted with goals tailored to your student’s needs so you can experience the approach firsthand before committing.
Scheduling & Availability
What are your available hours?
Standard tutoring hours are Sunday–Thursday, 7 AM–9 PM PST. Scheduling is handled via Google Calendar. Standard sessions are 60 minutes but can extend up to 2 hours. I can also accommodate students in different time zones — just mention your time zone when scheduling and we’ll find a time that works for you.
What if my student misses a session?
If a session is missed, a makeup session will be offered as compensation.
Online Tutoring
Are all sessions online?
Yes, all sessions are conducted online via video call (Zoom or a similar platform). No in-person sessions are offered.
How do online sessions work?
Sessions use screen sharing, virtual whiteboards, and digital resources. Materials and progress are tracked through Google Drive and Notion.
Do you work with students outside the US?
Currently, David serves students throughout the United States only, with a focus on US curriculum standards and college admissions requirements.
Tutoring Approach
How is your approach different?
The approach is student-centered and adaptive. Every session includes a review of prior content, identification of strengths and struggles, comprehension checks, and personalized feedback. All sessions are strictly 1-on-1.
What subjects do you tutor?
Subjects include ELA, Reading Comprehension, Writing & Essay Development, College Admissions Essays, AP English Composition, AP English Literature, AP U.S. History, AP World History, AP European History, AP Government & Politics, NY Regents (History), Social Studies, Study Skills & Organization, Time Management, and Life Skills.
What grade levels do you work with?
Students from 6th grade through post-graduate level are supported, with the majority being middle and high school students.
How is progress tracked?
Detailed records are kept for each session, including prior lesson review, identified strengths and areas for improvement, comprehension checks, and feedback. Parents are kept informed throughout the process.
